        Handmade Parts

Working with hand-selected southwest materials, I cut the discs, overlays, bezels, and bars, and then form the rings and connectors. On each, I measure twice and cut once to create a perfect piece. I die cut the disks and patterns using special tempered steel dies. This process gives me a uniform cut for each piece.
I practice traditional Navajo silversmithing methods using mandrels, anvils, assorted hand tools, and bench pins.
Every part of my cufflinks is handmade: backings, overlays, rings, connectors, and bars. Most other handcrafted cufflinks use some machine manufactured parts.  Not Mine!
I grind and file each piece to smooth out rough edges. I cut and stamp the design patterns; then I sweat-braze the overlays together for a permanent weld.
